Teaching
The strength and resilience of Dakota people is founded on the values of the culture. As a tribal college, a primary purpose is the preservation and teaching of language and culture. Dakota culture has always been constant in its teaching that learning is a life-long journey that takes many forms and that never ends. Each and every day one may learn something or see something differently. Knowledge and its discovery, understanding, and use is a Dakota cultural characteristic that is perhaps not transmitted with those words, but that is embedded in its transference for generations.
